A tall gold urn made for a generous armful of blooms.
Coralie is a footed urn vase in aged gold metal, 48.5 cm tall with a flared trumpet mouth and a pair of scroll handles. A small fleur-de-lis medallion sits on the front of the body, and the whole piece rises from a turned pedestal foot. The finish layers dark antiquing under warm gilt, so it reads old rather than shiny.
The height and the wide mouth suit a big, loose arrangement, peonies, roses, hydrangeas or branches, the sort of armful that looks sparse in a smaller vase. It stands on its own as a centrepiece on a dining table or console. The metal body is best with faux or dried stems, or fresh flowers in a liner, more on that below.

How to style it
One tall urn does more than a cluster of small vases.
- Fill it with faux peonies or roses for a centrepiece that keeps its shape all year, no water to change and nothing to drop on the table.
- Stand it alone on a dining table, a console or a sideboard, where the 48.5 cm height carries the room without needing a second piece beside it. See more in vases.
- Use dried stems in autumn and winter, hydrangea heads, wheat, or bare branches, and let them spill wider than the 28 cm handle span so the arrangement looks gathered rather than trimmed.
- Set it against a dark or deep-toned wall so the antique gold lifts, and echo the gilt with a candle holder or two at a lower height.
Stylist's TipCut your tallest stems to about one and a half times the height of the urn, so roughly 70 cm from the table. Shorter than that and they sink into the trumpet mouth. On a dining table, keep the arrangement low and wide instead, so people can see across it.
Care & Keeping
Dust with a soft dry cloth, working around the scroll handles and the fleur-de-lis medallion where dust settles. Do not use metal polish, abrasive cleaners or wet cloths, they will strip the antiquing that gives the gilt its depth. Never leave standing water in the body, use a glass or plastic liner for fresh flowers and empty it away from the urn. Indoor use only.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I put water and fresh flowers straight into it?
We would not. Coralie is aged metal and is not sealed as a watertight vessel, so standing water will mark the finish from the inside. Drop a glass or plastic liner into the body, arrange your flowers in that, and top up the water in the liner instead.
How long do the stems need to be?
Allow around 60 to 70 cm for the tallest stems. The urn is 48.5 cm on its own, so anything much shorter sits down inside the trumpet mouth and the arrangement reads thin. Faux stems can be trimmed with wire cutters to suit.
Is it stable enough with a big arrangement?
The pedestal foot gives it a broad base and the urn weighs 1.2 kg net, which is steady for faux and dried stems. For a very heavy or top-weighted arrangement, or if the urn sits somewhere it might get knocked, add a little sand or a few stones in the base for extra ballast.
Can it go outside on a covered verandah?
Indoor use only. The antique gold finish is not weather-rated, so rain, damp air and direct sun will dull and mark it. A sunroom or an enclosed garden room with full weather protection is fine.
Will it look exactly like the photos?
Close, but not identical. Coralie is hand-finished, so the dark antiquing sits differently under the gilt on every piece. Some read warmer and brighter, others darker through the scrollwork.
Because Coralie is hand-finished, slight variations in the gilt tone and the depth of the antiquing beneath are natural and add to the character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
