An arch of aged gold over antique panes, the mirror that looks as though it has watched the room for a century.
Renata is an arched mirror in a slim aged gold frame, her glass divided into panes in the old way. Fine etched lines cross the antiqued panelled glass, small metal rosettes sit at the crossings, and the speckling is worked in on purpose so she reads like a looking glass handed down.
A foliate crest rises at the arch and scrolled acanthus feet sit below, so at 108cm tall she stands on a mantel, console, or dresser rather than asking for hooks, wearing the same aged gold as our Elvira mirror.

Care & Keeping
Dust the frame with a soft dry cloth and wipe the glass with a barely damp one. The speckling and shading in the panes are applied on purpose, so clean gently and do not try to polish them away. She prefers dry rooms to steamy ones.

Does she hang or stand?
Renata is made to stand on her scrolled feet on a mantel, console, or dresser, or to lean against the wall. Whichever you choose, fix a discreet safety strap to the wall, especially around children and pets.
Why does the glass look spotted?
The speckling is intentional antiquing, applied so the panes read like early glass. It is part of the design rather than a flaw, and the pattern differs on every piece.
Is the frame metal?
The frame is fir wood and MDF beneath an aged gold finish, giving the look of old gilt.
Can she live in a bathroom?
We recommend dry rooms. Steam is unkind to timber frames over time, so she is happiest in bedrooms, hallways, and living rooms.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close. The gold is aged by hand and the antiquing on the glass is unique to every pane, which is part of the intended character.
Because Renata is hand-finished, slight variations in patina, texture, and grain are natural and add to the unique character of each piece. Colour may also vary slightly between screens, all photography is taken in natural light.
